The East Cooper Home Store is a donation center and resale store operated as an affiliate of East Cooper Habitat for Humanity, located at 469C Long Point Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the East Cooper Home Store.

We only collect the information you choose to give us through the forms on this site:

• Pickup requests: your name, phone number, email address, pickup address, and a description of the items you’d like to donate.
• Contact messages: your name, email address, and your message.
• Volunteer sign-ups: your name, email address, and (optionally) your phone number, availability, and areas of interest.

Like most websites, our hosting provider also records limited technical information (such as IP address and browser type) in standard server logs to keep the site secure and working. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking. See our Cookie Policy for details.

We use the information you submit only to:

• schedule and coordinate your free donation pickup;
• respond to your questions and messages;
• follow up with volunteers about opportunities to help.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Form submissions are delivered to our staff by email so we can act on your request. To run this website, we rely on a few trusted service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Resend — delivers form submissions to our staff inboxes by email.
• Netlify — hosts the website and processes requests to it.
• Google Maps — powers the embedded map on our contact page.

We may also share information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and property of the Home Store, our staff, or the public.

We keep your information only as long as needed to handle your request and maintain reasonable records of our operations, after which it is deleted or archived. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you’ve shared with us. To make a request, email hello@eastcooperhomestore.com or use our contact form. Because we send only transactional replies about your request, there are no marketing emails to unsubscribe from.

This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
